It is not the strongest of species that survives, nor the smartest, but the one that deals best with change.

Workshops and trainings

Career development and counseling are intended to help young people discover their future potential: who am I, what am I capable of, and what do I want? For many teachers and parents, it is fairly unknown territory how they can guide this. You cannot transfer your knowledge or tell young people what to do, because today's society and labor market are very different from what they used to be, and every young person is unique and has to discover his or her path. It takes a different mindset and a coaching role to guide young people in their personal development, the development of important competencies for their future, and the discovery of future opportunities.

In a few schools, career orientation is integrated into all subjects, but in most schools, it has only a modest or no place in the curriculum. I would like to change that.

I guide schools in vision development and mindset change for career guidance and training of teachers (in training), school teams and parents, for example in having good conversations with young people about themselves and their future. I also offer workshops and (customized) training for schools, parents, and young people in competencies such as creative thinking and problem-solving, effective cooperation, entrepreneurship, coaching, and much more.

Creative Thinking

Creative thinking is in the top 3 of the important competencies for this century. The ability to think creatively is important because it allows us to solve complex problems, and there are plenty of those now and in the future. In this training, you will discover what the elements of creative thinking are, and how you can develop this competence with the help of creative thinking techniques. There are many different creative thinking techniques, including brainstorming and mind mapping. We will work with a number of these techniques so that you can experience their power yourself. We will also discuss how you can help young people to activate their creative thinking skills.

Collaboration

There is increasing multidisciplinary collaboration in organizations when developing new and innovative products or services. The younger you learn to cooperate, the better. We see that school assignments are often given, but that young people are insufficiently coached in how to work together effectively. In this training you learn to work together effectively: to help each other, to communicate and consult well with each other, to plan and organize, to understand each other and to solve problems together. Teachers who want to guide young people in this can follow a train-the-trainer course.

Entrepreneurship

Our work will become increasingly flexible in the future. No one has a job for life anymore. This means that you need to live with an open and curious attitude to constantly discover new opportunities for yourself. But that is not enough. You also need to have the courage to seize those opportunities and take action. How do you stimulate young people to be enterprising, to dare, to use their network, etcetera? That is what this training is about. For teachers, I organize a train-the-trainer to be able to guide young people in this themselves.

Learning to inspire

If you are not inspired, you usually don't get into learning mode. But what exactly is inspiration, where does it come from and how do you get inspired? And above all: how can you inspire young people at home and at school in such a way that they become "on"? We make the translation to school: how to make your school an inspiring school with an inspiring learning climate? Which activities are involved and which guidance? In this inspirational program we address these questions. It is particularly inspiring to involve teachers, parents and young people in this program.

Facilitate FutureLab

FutureLab is a career orientation program in which young people go on research and visit companies using their personal Future Questions to find answers to their questions. For schools that want to start FutureLab with students, I organize train-the-trainer programs to get to know FutureLab and be able to guide them. Part of this program is the Core Values Game® and the FutureLab Game®.

Facilitate the Core Values Game

The Core Values Game®. was created to help young people find answers to the question, "Who am I?" Core values determine the way you want to live your life, make decisions, and shape your future. In a train-the-trainer, teachers learn how to accompany this game at school. By playing it yourself first, you get to know the 7 Game Variants and can use the game effectively, for example in the mentoring lesson.
